Bible Setting: Genesis 24–27
Rebekah’s story begins in a land far away from Abraham’s family. Abraham sent his servant on a long journey to find a wife for his son Isaac. The servant prayed that God would show him the right person—someone kind, generous, and chosen by God.
When the servant reached a well, he met Rebekah. She didn’t know him, and she didn’t know his mission. But when he asked for a drink of water, Rebekah didn’t just help him—she also offered to water all his camels. That was a huge job! Her kindness showed the servant that she was the one God had chosen.
Rebekah traveled to meet Isaac, and the two became husband and wife. Later, they had twin sons, Esau and Jacob. Their family had challenges, misunderstandings, and even tricks—but through it all, Rebekah tried to protect God’s promises for the future.
Rebekah teaches kids that kindness and generosity matter, even when no one is watching. She shows that big blessings often begin with small acts of love. She also teaches that families aren’t perfect, but God can still work through imperfect people to accomplish great things.
For parents, Rebekah’s story is a great way to talk about helping others, listening to God, and making wise decisions.
In The Good Fight card game, Rebekah represents kindness in action. When kids play her card, they learn that choosing to help—without being asked—can change everything, both in the game and in life.
