My Story

I like to know the roots to the things I spend my time with so I felt I ought to share a bit about myself and exactly why I do what I do. This is for the curious few, welcome! :)

I started my career in the steel industry, married at just 23.

9 months into our marriage our first Daughter was born still at 36 weeks 💔 This fueled a great searching for truth and how or if  the plan of salvation was true. Me and my wife created a gift shop for infant loss called "Launa and Jaine" (We lost another daughter in 2018 in a similar way) read that story at launaandjaine.com 🤍

These experiences set a deep searching and emptiness in my soul. I discovered my need for creative expression. I took online courses for Graphic Design, entered online logo contests and learned how to win them.🥇(This was long before AI 😅)

By 2015 I started out on my own, self employed. It was the scariest thing I had ever done. I stepped away from the security of a 9 to 5 job with a growing family to feed... just praying God would sustain me. 🙏

On that road, God led me to several great mentors who helped me see the world differently. I read books, (over 500) worked in sales to make ends meet and always kept professional design gigs on the side. By the grace of God I have somehow managed to provide for my growing family and it has been an absolute miracle to say the least.

As my kids are getting older (my oldest living is currently 15). I could feel our connection slipping.

I didn't want to be the Dad who was out of touch with his kids.

We started daily practices like scripture reading and prayer. Things we would do together as a family. I started a family devotional class so we could study the principles of the Gospel daily. It was there that we stumbled upon the idea of making a card game.

Something we could do together, something just for fun. 🥳

Each day at 5 pm, my kids would join me to work out the latest design. We did it for the sake of quality time and had no intent to publish. We finally finished our first game in 2024! Surprisingly it was just as professional a product as anything we could find in stores.

​

In Spring of 2025 I sold my truck and used the funds to print our first game. 100% of everything I have sold has gone into making and sharing more games. I don't care if I never make a dollar from this, I just love what this is doing for my family.​​

Life is about relationships, the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us to Love one Another.

​

I understand my religious beliefs may not align with yours but I do believe:

Everyone can agree on the morality of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Be they Atheist, Agnostic, Buddhist, Muslim, Jew or Christian.

Being a part of the body of Christ is not about being or thinking exactly like everyone else. It's about recognizing we all have a role to play and its good that we're different. If you have a desire to bring good into this world, no matter your religious affiliation; I honor you, I respect you and I want to support you.
