Bible Setting: 1 Kings 16–21; 2 Kings 9
Jezebel was the wife of King Ahab, and she became one of the most dangerous influences in Israel’s history. She didn’t follow the God of Israel. Instead, she worshiped Baal and brought hundreds of false prophets into the land.
Jezebel encouraged people to forget God’s commandments and to trust in idols that could not hear or help.
Jezebel used her power in harmful ways. She threatened God’s prophets, including Elijah, and even tried to take their lives. She pushed Ahab to make selfish decisions and didn’t care if innocent people were hurt.
When Ahab wanted Naboth’s vineyard, Jezebel arranged a terrible plan to steal it, showing how far she was willing to go to get what she wanted.
Even though Jezebel looked strong on the outside, her heart was full of pride and cruelty. She trusted in lies instead of truth and led others into darkness instead of helping them walk in God’s ways. In the end, her wickedness caught up with her, reminding everyone that no one is stronger than God—not even powerful rulers.
Jezebel teaches kids that influence matters. We must choose leaders and friends who help us do what is right, not people who encourage us to go against God’s ways. She shows how selfishness and pride lead to destruction, but honesty and goodness lead to life.
In The Good Fight card game, Jezebel represents deception and destructive influence. When kids face her card, they learn to recognize harmful voices and to stand firm in truth and kindness—no matter what others say.
