Bible Setting: Genesis 5; Hebrews 11
Enoch lived many generations after Adam, during a time when most people were turning away from God. The world was growing noisy, selfish, and unkind. But Enoch was different. The Bible says something amazing about him: “Enoch walked with God.” That means he chose to live close to God in everything he did.
Enoch wasn’t perfect. He was a real person with challenges, just like us. But he listened to God’s voice, showed kindness, and taught others to follow God’s ways. Enoch learned how to stay close to the Lord even when the world around him was going in the wrong direction.
And then something happened that makes his story unforgettable: Enoch never experienced death. God simply took him to heaven because of his faithfulness. The Bible celebrates him as someone who pleased God by trusting Him completely.
Enoch’s story helps kids understand that walking with God isn’t about being flawless—it’s about choosing good, choosing kindness, and choosing to stay close to God every day. Even small decisions—telling the truth, helping someone, being patient—are steps on that walk.
For parents, Enoch’s life is a great reminder that kids learn courage and faithfulness one choice at a time.
In The Good Fight card game, Enoch symbolizes steadfast faith. When kids play his card, they learn that the strongest heroes aren’t always the loudest or bravest—they are the ones who stay close to God no matter what. Enoch shows that walking with God leads to the greatest victory of all.
