Bible Setting: Genesis 12–25
Abraham’s story begins in a land called Ur, far away from where he would eventually live. One day, God spoke to Abraham and told him to pack up his family and travel to a new place—a place Abraham had never seen. God didn’t give him a map or show him pictures. He simply said, “Go to the land I will show you.”
And Abraham went.
This is what makes Abraham special. He didn’t need to know every detail. He trusted God enough to take the first step.
As he traveled through deserts, hills, and strange new lands, Abraham built altars and thanked God for guiding him. God made him a powerful promise: Abraham would become the father of a great nation, and through his family, all the world would be blessed.
Even when the promise seemed impossible—like when Abraham and his wife Sarah grew very old—Abraham kept believing. And when God told him to do hard things, he obeyed. Abraham wasn’t perfect, but he always tried to follow the Lord.
Abraham teaches kids that faith means trusting even when you can’t see the whole plan. He shows that listening to God, being patient, and doing what’s right brings amazing blessings.
In The Good Fight card game, Abraham represents courageous faith. When kids play his card, they learn that trusting God—step by step—helps them win the battles of life, both big and small.
